At Dragonflies your child will be supported to learn and develop through experiences that stimulate his or her sense of exploration and discovery and that are fun and memorable.
Learning & Development
In their first three years we are concentrating on 3 main areas:
• Personal Social and Emotional Development
• Communication and Language Development
• Physical Development
Once your child moves into the pre-school room they can expect to expand on these 3 main areas into developing their understanding of:
• Literacy
• Maths
• The world that they live in
• Creativity and Imagination
In order to learn your child needs to feel secure and happy and so they will receive a dedicated key person to take care of them whilst they are with us. Your key person will provide the vital link between nursery and home and ensure that your child receives their best attention.
A home from home caring approach
Building strong relationships with our parents is very important to us and you can expect us to support you in this phase of your child’s life as well as care for your child. You will be welcome into the nursery at the start of your day to settle your child and at the end of the day to talk to staff about what they have been doing. We also welcome visits from parents to share special skills, read stories or support our activity mornings that run frequently through the year.
Sessions Available
Contracts are available for all year round care, 51 weeks per year. Or term time only, in accordance with published term times which run roughly in accordance with South Gloucestershire term times, excluding Inset days.
Full Day
8.00 – 18.00 – £80.00
8.00 – 17.00 – £78.00
8.00 – 16.00 – £70.00
9.00 – 17.00 – £70.00
9.00 – 18.00 – £77.00
School Day
9.15 – 16.00 – £63.00
Half Day
8.00 – 13.00 – £48.00
13.00 – 18.00 – £48.00
The minimum number of sessions your child can be booked into nursery is for 2 sessions across 2 days per week. One session is a morning or afternoon half day session or a full day.
Additional Hours booked on an ad hoc basis will be charged at the session rate or where a full day 8.00- 18.00 at a rate of £9 per hour (ie the daily discount rate will not be applied)
Fees include all meals and snacks, including a cooked lunch.
A discount is applied to full day sessions 8.00 – 18.00 in the rates quoted below.
