Our background

Siobhan and Shelley have over 20 years in childcare experience between them and have worked at this setting for their whole childcare career gaining qualifications and experience within their time there.

They both found their passion for Childcare here and when the previous Owner decided to retire it was their perfect opportunity to take on the nursery they have known and loved for many years.

“A home from home caring approach”

At Dragonflies your child will be supported to learn and develop through fun and memorable experiences that stimulate his or her sense of exploration and discovery.

We’re located in a rural area with easy access to outstanding countryside. We place great emphasis on outdoor learning and physical activity, running weekly Forest School sessions in our setting.

ALL members of staff are trained in Paediatric First Aid.

Meet the Managers

Shelley Spiller

Nursery Owner and Manager

EDI Level 3 Early Years Educator, Diploma for Children and Young Peoples Workforce Early Learning and Childcare (QCF)

Shelley is the Manager at Dragonflies. She lives in the Village of Badminton with her husband and daughter. She has two grown up children, a 6 year old Grandson and a 7 month old Grandaughter. Shelley started at this setting as a general assistant, helping with cleaning and kitchen duties where she soon found she had a love for caring for young children and wanted to embark on a career in childcare.

Shelley did her Level 3 childcare qualification and then worked her way up to senior roles throughout the nursery before getting the manager role through her hard work and dedication. Shelley works and manages the nursery full time and you will often see her buzzing about doing all roles of the nursery.

Siobhan Pick

Siobhan started her working career in health and social care and after five years of caring for adults she decided she wanted to work caring for children and fell in love with this Badminton setting from the moment she walked in the door in 2014. Siobhan did her level 3 qualification in 2015. Siobhan spends 3 days of the working week in the nursery and two days from home doing administration for the nursery.
